The inspiration of this collection came to me when we were all stuck at home, as we were sick but not becasue of the famous virus. I was a mother to a newborn and the world was on fire. It was a scary and stressful time to be in. We live in a small, peaceful village where nature abounds. It is through looking out my window and my walks that I quieten my inner thoughts and marvel at the beauty of nature. I started looking at the flowers in a way I’ve never done before, letting their beauty soothe my mind. This period sort of marked a change in my post-partum journey where I started to connect emotionally to Daniel and experienced the euphoria of loving him. This series illustrates a part of my motherhood journey, capturing my triumph in claiming hope over the dark clouds in my mind.
