Obsession Collection: Captivating Sketches of the Orangerie in Schlossgarten Erlangen
To the place that brought me calmness last year,
Some places hold a power over us—a pull we can’t explain but feel deeply. For me, that place is the Orangerie. It’s just one building, but it’s never the same. Every time I visit, something is different: the light shifts, the wind whispers a new story, or my own emotions color what I see. This collection is my love letter to those moments of change, captured in the lines and colors of my sketches.
Although the subject remains the same, each piece tells a different story. Every sketch reflects a unique moment in time—the season, the weather, the mood of the day, and my own state of mind. Sometimes the building feels bold and alive, bathed in sunlight. Other times, it feels quiet and reflective, as though it’s listening to the world around it.
This collection is my attempt to capture those fleeting moments—to show how even a single place can transform endlessly, holding a universe of emotions. I hope that as you look through these pieces, you’ll feel the same connection—that you’ll see how one place can inspire endless stories.
Welcome to the Obsession Collection: a celebration of timeless beauty and ever-changing perspectives.

The Feeling of Timelessness
The Orangerie is more than just a building; it’s a place where time feels slower, where stillness meets beauty. Every visit feels like stepping into a moment that exists outside the rush of the world. Its vibrant orange walls radiate warmth, inviting me to pause and just be. Surrounded by the lush greens of the Schlossgarten, it feels like a little sanctuary where nature and history embrace.
Whenever I’m there, I feel a sense of calm that washes over me. It’s a grounding space, timeless and unchanging, even as the seasons shift. For me, the Orangerie is not just a beautiful structure—it’s a companion, offering peace and inspiration in equal measure.
Seasons of the Orangerie
The magic of the Orangerie lies in how it interacts with its surroundings. In the height of summer, it’s surrounded by a garden alive with vibrant greens and the scent of flowers, its orange walls glowing warmly under the sun. In autumn, the swirling wind and the rustle of fallen leaves bring a quiet sense of reflection, with the building standing strong amidst the change.
Even on the coldest winter days, when bare trees reveal the garden’s structure, the Orangerie feels like a beacon of steadiness and warmth. It anchors the ever-changing landscape, offering a sense of continuity and stillness no matter the season.

Art That Tells a Story
Each season offers a new way to see and sketch the Orangerie. In spring, blooming flowers bring fresh life, framing the building in vibrant colors. In summer, the interplay of sunlight and shadows highlights its timeless curves. Autumn’s golden leaves contrast beautifully with the orange tones of its walls, while winter strips away the distractions, leaving its elegant lines to stand alone.
Through my sketches, I aim to capture not just what the Orangerie looks like but how it feels—a quiet refuge, a timeless beauty, a place that’s both constant and ever-changing.
